Couples Therapy Based on the Gottman Method — A Research Based Approach
The Gottman Method combines thorough assessment with practical therapeutic work.
The process is structured and sequential: first, we explore the dynamics of your relationship, then we create a therapeutic plan and begin working toward meaningful change and your desired goals.
The Gottman Method is grounded in more than 50 years of scientific research on how successful and unsuccessful relationships function.

This approach helps couples take a deep and honest look at their relationship: to recognize its strengths and vulnerable areas, understand the underlying patterns within the relationship, and identify what needs to change in order to build a more stable, secure, and fulfilling partnership.

I work with couples experiencing relationship crises, emotional distance, recurring conflicts, the aftermath of infidelity, challenges in intercultural relationships, blended families, and long-distance relationships.

How the process works:

Therapeutic Process
If you decide to continue therapy, we begin working together along the agreed therapeutic path toward healthier and more secure relationship patterns.
6.
Feedback Session
We meet together again as a couple. I present the assessment results, explain the key relationship dynamics I see, introduce the therapeutic plan, and answer your questions. If time allows, I also provide the first practical recommendations and interventions.
5.
Analysis and Treatment Planning
I carefully analyze all collected information and prepare a detailed assessment report along with a therapeutic plan tailored specifically to your relationship, goals, and challenges.
4.
Individual Sessions
I meet separately with each partner in order to better understand personal history, attachment style, experiences, and each person’s individual contribution to the relationship dynamic.
3.
Online Assessment
Each partner individually completes a comprehensive online relationship assessment, which provides an objective and detailed picture of the relationship’s current state.
2.
Initial Couples Session
1.
You share your current situation, challenges, emotional experiences, and expectations for therapy. I ask clarifying questions and gather initial information about your relationship and its current dynamics.
